Samura kitchen knives
Samura is modern kitchen knife manufacturer established in 2003. Samura was running first product line in partnership with Japanese companies MAC and Mcusta. Since 2010, Samura has been producing knives under its own brand. Samura kitchen knives combine the best elements of Japanese and European knife making. It is a a symbiosis of the Japanese knife tradition and European reliability. Authentic Japanese knives can be excessively hard, which makes them fragile and they require very careful handling. Many Japanese knives are made from high-carbon steel, which rusts quickly and can be easily damaged by bumping into even a small bone. Samura decided to remove these weaknesses, keeping the main thing - Japanese cutting performance.
Samura kitchen knives are made from the high quality Japanese and Swedish steel, hardened to 58 - 61 HRC. Samura knives are sharpened at an angle of 17 degrees, more than Japanese knives but less than European knives. For the handles Samura use the best modern materials such as micarta, G10, stabilized wood, ABS plastic.
