Lino cutters

Lino cutters are regarded as secondary instruments in wood carving and are most commonly utilized for linocut printing. Linocut is an artistic technique where a negative image is carved or cut into linoleum. Chisel for linocut is mainly used in relief wood carving, where work with detail and maneuvering with the tool in narrow and hard-to-reach places is required. The lino cutter is operated solely by manual pressure and no mallet (woodcarving hammer) or other striking tool is used. This tool often features a pear shaped handle.
