Hand-forged knife blades Puronvarsi are made in a small family blacksmith shop in the Finnish town of Härmä. The manufacture tradition is inherited from generation to generation in the family. Knives are currently made by Antti Mäkinen under the brand of his grandfather (Yrjo Puronvarsi). The blades are hand-forged from Krupp C75 carbon steel and are exceptional in their rhombic shape - their thickest point is at the point where the gring begins.
