Lauri blade blanks have been manufactured in the Finnish city of Kauhava by Laurin Metalli Oy since 1918. Lauri blades are very popular blades used by a large number of Scandinavian knife manufacturers. The blades are usually made of carbon steel 80CrV2, which is a proven material used in the manufacture of Nordic knives, or stainless steel.
